Founded in 2018 by Tyson Huggans, Patient Transport began with 16 medical transport vans, driven by a desire to assist those facing challenges in accessing medical care. We wanted to raise the NEMT bar by providing the best service at a very competitive rate.
Over the years, we have grown into a trusted provider in the community, expanding our fleet and service area to meet the growing needs of our customers. We have a fundamental belief that you have to get to know your customers to fully appreciate and serve them. Because of this belief, instead of growing to a size where it would be impossible to really know all our customers, we partner with proven leaders and split into smaller operating companies that ensure we continue to know each customer and provide the highest level of service. Tyson, the original founder of Patient Transport, brings over 15 years of experience in the NEMT industry. Inspired to create a company dedicated to delivering the highest level of service, he assembled a team of top industry professionals. Today, he continues to lead Patient Transport as the largest provider in the field.
Centered in Mesa, Patient Transport serves as the hub of the company’s operations, focusing on high-quality, reliable transportation for hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing facilities. Rooted in a philosophy of personalized service and community connection, the branch remains dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of patients across the Phoenix Metro area.
Emerson leads the Tucson branch of Patient Transport, bringing his experience as an active Army Reservist and seasoned civilian leader to the team. With a background in military logistics and over 26 years in management—including eight years as a licensed nursing home administrator—he is dedicated to empowering his team and delivering exceptional transportation services.
The Tucson branch of Patient Transport was established with a commitment to reaching and serving the people of Tucson with compassionate and reliable non-emergency medical transportation. Under Emerson’s leadership, the branch focuses on delivering personalized, high-quality service while building strong community relationships and ensuring every patient receives the attentive care they deserve.
Havilah leads the Phoenix branch of Patient Transport, bringing her experience as a Service-Disabled Veteran, first responder, and nonprofit professional to the team. Since her honorable discharge in 2006, she has remained dedicated to supporting the military community and is passionate about delivering exceptional transportation services with compassion and integrity.
